چکیده
Origanum syriacum L. (Lamiaceae) is a perennial species with an important role in medicinal and pharmaceutical applications. However, the attention regarding its genetic diversity negligible worldwide. Touch-up direct amplification of minisatellite-region DNA (TU-DAMD) marker has been employed to investigate natural populations, where 37 wild O. genotypes were collected from coastal, central southern regions Syria. TU-DAMD assay resulted 188 total bands, which 152 (80.85%) polymorphic. The bands number ranged between 7 22 average 11.75 bands/primer. Polymorphic 4 19 9.5 polymorphic Moreover, information content (PIC) value 0.051 0.322 0.225. As for index (MI), this 0.308 5.092 2.284. Overall, present study suggests that samples coastal region (Lattakia, Jableh, Banyas Tartous) are genetically distinct ones (Homs, Hama, Damascus, Swedah Qunetra) based on estimated percent disagreement values (PDV) 0.20. Thereby, test successfully discriminate showing high within studied species. In conclusion, could be considered as new tool studying other plant

Fingerprinting of cell lines by directed amplification of minisatellite-region DNA (DAMD).
The development of in vitro propagation of cells has been an extraordinary technical advance for several biological studies. The correct identification of the cell line used, however, is crucial, as a mistaken identity or the presence of another contaminating cell may lead to invalid and/or erroneous conclusions. We report here the application of a DNA fingerprinting procedure (directed amplifi...

This study concerns the genetic diversity and taxonomic status of Marrubium species from central and south-west of Zagros region, Iran. It is investigated by Inter-Simple Sequence Repeat analysis. A total of 68 accessions from five Marrubium species were collected from their natural habitats. Molecular analysis was approved with 17 primers, of which 12 were carried out in the reaction mixture. ...

متن کاملGenetic diversity of Arum L. based on plastid marker
TrnL-F region including intron trnL (UAA) and trnL (UAA) - trn (GAA) spacer in the large single-copy region of the chloroplast genome is widely used to infer phylogenetic relationships in plants. In this study, we obtained the trnL-F sequences from 8 samples of Arum L. in Iran. Phylogenetic analyses were conducted by the Bayesian inference, maximum parsimony, and maximum likelihood methods. The...
